Nursing Admission 2025

Oil India Limited (OIL) has invited applications from eligible and interested female candidates for admission into the 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course at the School of Nursing, OIL Hospital, Duliajan, for the session 2025-26. A total of 30 seats are available for this course.
Eligible female candidates who are domiciles of specified districts in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh can submit their online applications from 13 August 2025 to 29 August 2025. Admission will be based on a written entrance test followed by document verification and a medical examination.

Stipend: A stipend will be paid as per the norms of the School of Nursing, OIL.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board with English as one of the subjects. A minimum aggregate of 40% marks is required for General candidates. A 5% relaxation in marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD candidates. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed 10+2 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

GNMEE: The candidates who have qualified the GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE), 2025 conducted by the SSUHS are eligible.

Other Criteria of OIL GNM Admission

Marital Status: Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply.
Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, and Charaideo districts of Assam or Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and will be selected for admission only after being declared fit by the OIL medical board.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 17 and 25 years of age as of 31 December 2025. The upper age limit is relaxable by:
5 years for SC/ST candidates
3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
10 years for Person with Disability (PWD) candidates

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the GNM course will be based on their performance in a written entrance test. Candidates who have qualified the GNMEE conducted by the SSUHS will be called for document verification and a medical examination. The final admission will be granted based on the merit of the written test, subject to medical fitness and verification of documents.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the Oil India GNM Nursing Course by visiting the official admission portal. The online application link will be active from 13 August 2025. Candidates are required to fill in the application form with accurate personal and educational details as per their documents.
Applicants may also need to upload scanned copies of necessary documents, such as their photograph and signature. After carefully filling out the form, candidates must submit it online before the deadline of 29 August 2025. It is advised to take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
